i am a bad blogger

What with all the 1) moving preparations 2) full-time job 3) grad school panic 4) etc, I haven't really been taking many photos lately. I think the blog is probably going to make a slow transition over to operating on an as-needed basis -- no daily posts, but posts whenever I have worthwhile photos to show. It's also going to move over to www.thewalkingconch.com eventually, but until I figure out how to properly upload photos (they come out all squooshed), that'll have to wait. In the meantime, the going-live of the website should be enough to satisfy regular blog readers for at least a week. :)

I'm really excited to announce an upcoming change -- I've gotten my own website!! www.thewalkingconch.com will be going live in several days, and I'll be sure to let you know when it does. I advertised for a web designer on Craigslist and got really lucky -- Andrew Tarcon, who is a freelance student from Wisconsin, is really doing an awesome job. The site is absolutely beautiful, and I can't wait to show it to the world.

working for the weekend

Here's why I didn't blog this weekend. I'm going to stop blogging on weekends. I will still be gracing you with my presence Monday through Friday, but I've decided to join the ranks of such fine blogging sites as www.gofugyourself.com and go off the radar on Saturday and Sunday. But it's Monday, so it's a moot point for now anyway.

I would just like to draw repeated attention to this photograph -- I know it's already been posted -- but it is now the newest addition to the Jones Soda photographs! For those who don't know, Jones is a hippie/organic soda brand whose gimmick is to solicit consumer photographs for their labels. The labels rotate out every season or so, and a different photo is placed on each flavor. This photo of Beth playing violin in Clark Park made it onto Green Apple Jones Soda for this season! I'm really excited, and of course, yay Beth for being such an awesome model. :)

Until Sunday, July 11, I'll be kickin' it on my private balcony on a Carnival cruise ship in the Bahamas. And, of course, pottering around the ship and the islands with my trusty camera. As Internet access onboard is something like $1749.38 per minute, I won't be blogging. But when I get back....cruiseapalooza.

We have reached an apocalyptical moment.

I am running out of good photos. Seriously.

I am going off to an event called "Celtic Fling" this weekend (apparently Danny Bonaduce will be there....?), and in 12 days I am going on a weeklong cruise to the Bahamas, so I expect to be somewhat restocked soon. But until I establish a full stash again, it'll just have to be one photo per day instead of the usual three. We'll be back to normal soon, I swear.

I desperately want to blog right now -- my tiny brother graduated from high school today and I have photos! -- but, as usual, my pirated Internet connection is acting up. I'll try and get to a cafe tomorrow morning, and I'll do a long blog post to make up for it. :)

i hate to do this...

...but I need to take another break. Starting very early tomorrow morning, I will be driving to Boston to search for apartments, and I'll be there until Sunday. I'd prefer not to bring my computer -- too heavy! -- so it's off with the blog for a few days. When I get back, I will update every single day without fail, as you're used to. I promise. :)

what am i doing this weekend? oh, just graduating from one of the top schools in the country, that's all.

This weekend I'm GRADUATING FROM COLLEGE...so I won't be updating tomorrow or Sunday. But my newly Bachelor-of-Artsed self will be back on Monday. :)
